Curriculum vitae
Matteo Binasco si è laureato presso l’Università degli Studi di Genova. Ha conseguito un Master of Arts presso la Saint Mary’s University di Halifax in Canada, e successivamente il PhD presso la National University of Ireland di Galway. Dal 2010 al 2013 è stato assegnista di ricerca presso l’Istituto di Storia dell’Europa Mediterranea del Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche. Dal 2014 al 2017 è stato ricercatore post-dottorale presso il Cushwa Center for the study of American Catholicism della Notre Dame University. E’ curatore di Little do We Know: History and Historians of the North Atlantic, 1492-2010 (CNR, 2011), Rome and Irish Catholicism in the Atlantic World, 1622-1908 (Palgrave MacMillan, 2018), Luke Wadding, the Irish Franciscans, and Global Catholicism (Routledge, 2020). E’ autore di Roman Sources for the History of American Catholicism, 1763-1939 (Notre Dame University Press, 2018), e Viaggiatori e missionari nel seicento (Città del Silenzio, 2006), Making, Breaking and Remaking the Irish Missionary Network: Ireland, Rome and the West Indies in the Seventeenth Century, (Palgrave MacMillan, 2020), French Missionaries in Acadia/Nova Scotia, 1654-1755. On a Risky Edge (Palgrave MacmIllan, 2022). Attualmente sta preparando una curatela sulla comunità inglese di Roma che sarà pubblicata da Brill nell’inverno del 2024.

Matteo Binasco graduated at the Università degli Studi di Genova and then took a M.A. in history at Saint Mary’s University of Halifax in Canada. He obtained his PhD at the National University of Ireland in Galway. From 2010 to 2013 he was research fellow at the Istituto di Storia dell’Europa Mediterranea of Italy’s Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, and from 2014 to 2017 post-doctoral research fellow at the Cushwa Center for the Study of American Catholicism of the University of Notre Dame. He has edited Little do We Know: History and Historians of the North Atlantic, 1492-2010 (CNR, 2011), Rome and Irish Catholicism in the Atlantic World, 1622-1908 (Palgrave MacMillan, 2018), Luke Wadding, the Irish Franciscans, and Global Catholicism (Routledge, 2020).
